answers to the question of the month

DECEMBER 2006
• Q: What is your favorite Christmas present?

• A: A very large stuffed Zebra I got when I was two years old. It still lays at the bottom of my bed

• Q: What would you like for Christmas?

• A: I would like a real pony but I will settle for a game boy that I can play when going to and waiting for auditions

NOVEMBER 2006
• Q: How did your parents come up with the name Erika-Shaye?

• A: We just liked the way the name Erika sounded. The Shaye came from my wife's brother Shayne who died in an horrific train accident. When we put the names together we liked the way Erika-Shaye went together so we hypenated it as a single name rather than a first and second name. We wanted her to always remember her uncle Shayne

• Q: What did you think of your first commerical?

• A: Her response to the commercial question... I was very little when I did the Saturn Car commercial (my very first commercial) but I really liked all the clowns that were in it with me. I like to watch it because of the clowns. My Dad was in the commercial with me too. He wasn't one of the clowns

OCTOBER 2006
• Q: If you could meet any celebrity, who would it be?

• A: I would like to meet Dakota Fanning and AnnaSophia Robb

• Q: Do you go trick-or-treating for Halloween? If so, what do you dress up as?

• A: This year me and my brother will be going as Raggety Ann and Andy

SEPTEMBER 2006
• Q: How did you get into acting?

• A: I got into acting by accident. A friend of my mom's said that my brother, Luke, and I should be in commercials. She knew a student in her school who had an agent and so she contacted the agent and gave her our name. My mother also had a student in her school who did commercials so we contacted their agent. I started with commercials and this led to auditions and roles in movies

• Q: How was it like acting with Nicolas Cage in The Wicker Man?

• A: Nick was really cool to work with. Not as funny as Robin Williams as he was more serious. I met him the very first day I went to wardrobe. He shook my hand and said he was glad to meet me. When the movie was complete we knew each other much better

AUGUST 2006
• Q: Did you ever get presents from companies you worked for (like the clothes you were wearing at the photoshoot/commercial)?

• A: I was given some my little poney horses when I did their commercial. Never any clothes, we were able to buy some at reduced prices. The clothes in the movies I have done had to go into lock up in case they had to do re-shoots or new scenes. Also on the set of Play Doh I was given some Play Doh items

• Q: What is your favorite on set moment?

• A: My favourite moment was doing the movie RV with Robin Williams. I love it when he kept tickling me. Another favorite time on set was the puppet show with Robin Williams
