Synopsis
Detective Edward Malus flies to Summersisle, a remote island off the Washington coast, following a lead in the search for his friend's missing daughter. The Summersisle residents, living a seemingly idyllic, pastoral way of life are wary of the stranger among them, and Malus very soon finds nothing on this mysterious island is what it appears to be. As his search intensifies he discovers the terrifying truth about their ancient belief system.

Erika-Shaye's Character
Rowan Woodward is the daughter of Willow Woodward, a single mother who never left her home of Summersisle, Washington. Rowan is blamed for making the crops go bad, and soon after she disappears. Her mother sends a letter to Edward Malus, a detective and friend of her mother's. Rowan loves to draw and wear a red sweater her mom made for her.

• Erika-Shaye had to memorize 5 pages of lines for this movie, but all of her lines but one were cut from the movie
• Had to sit in hair and makeup for a few hours to make her face look severly burnt
